Satori à Québec, an original concept from Simon Couillard, is a performance in which jazz motifs illuminate and accent the words of the poet Patrice Desbiens. The texts are read by Nathalie Lessard and Alix Renaud against a background of music by the Jazz Quartet of Normand Guilbeault (bass), Joe Sullivan (trumpet), Raynald Drouin (percussion) and Vincent Gagnon (piano).
Vincent Gagnon has been part of this project since its inception in the summer of 2008. Affording a wealth of experiences, this project gives him an opportunity to explore the union of music and words in a unique manner.
