One of the 2010 Quebec Jazz Festival programmator’s favorites. Upright bass players Michel Donato and Guillaume Bouchard will first perform as a duet. Then, seven pianists of the Province of Quebec (Lorraine Desmarais, Yves Léveillé, Chantale Gagné, Julie Lamontagne, Marianne Trudel, Vincent Gagnon and François Bourrassa) will each perform two original compositions with four members of the Orchestre symphonique de Québec (Étienne Lafrance – upright bass, Geoff Thompson – trumpet, Evelyn Auger – trombone, René Roulx – drums). Singer Stephanie Biddle will close the evening with two songs of her French repertoire.
